Review by hotel critic
Nestled atop a serene hill in the heart of historic Kungälv, Nordiska Folkhögskolan offers not only a cozy place to stay but an opportunity to immerse yourself in the stunning Nordic landscape. My friends and I were greeted with a map that made exploring the vibrant area easy-poetic, given my love for nature and marine ecosystems! The view from the breakfast room, overlooking the majestic Kungälv's Medieval Castle, was simply breathtaking. Our spacious bungalow was impeccably clean, save for a few stray hairs on one chair, but overlooking the beautiful surroundings more than made up for it. With just a short walk, we found ourselves amidst the colorful 18th-century houses of Västragatan, perfect for a late-afternoon stroll. The shared kitchen and lounge area created a welcoming atmosphere, making it feel like a home away from home. For anyone who enjoys biking, hiking, or simply relaxing with a cup of coffee while taking in the sunset over the river, this place is a hidden gem! Perfect for nature lovers and those wanting to experience the charm of the Nordic countries. I left feeling rejuvenated, already planning my return for another experience amidst the stunning views and warm hospitality!
